Reset a User's Password

Required permissions: Users Edit

  1. Click the app selector icon of app selector and select Admin.
  2. Click Users.

  3. Click the user profile you want to modify to open it.

  4. Click Reset Password.

Unlock a User Account

Required permissions: Users Edit

Locked user accounts can result from too many failed password attempts.

  1. Click the app selector icon of app selector and select Admin.
  2. Click Users.

  3. Set the Show drop-down to Locked.
  4. In the row of the user you want to unlock, click the red Locked icon.
  5. In the confirmation window, click Yes.

Configure a User's Access Key

Required permissions: Access Key Create

  1. Click the app selector icon of app selector and select Admin.
  2. Click Users.

  3. Click the user profile you want to modify to open it.

  4. Click the Access Keys tab.

  5. Click Edit.
  6. Click Generate New Access Key.
  7. In the Access Keys table, click (Show Secret Key).
  8. Click Copy.
  9. Paste the secret key into a file and save it in a secure location. Share the key with the user.
  10. Click Done.

You can't retrieve a user's secret key after you click Done. If the user loses the secret key, generate a new access key.

Reset a User's MFA Secret

Required permissions: Users Edit

Don't enable MFA for the master administrator in your organization. If the device or secret is lost, the only way to reset the MFA secret is to file a ticket with CXone Support.

  1. Click the app selector icon of app selector and select Admin.
  2. Click Users.

  3. Click the user profile you want to modify to open it.

  4. Click Clear MFA Secret.
