NICE Uptivity On-Demand Overview for Agents
Depending on the On-Demand capabilities purchased by your organization, NICE Uptivity On-Demand is an optional application that can enable you to:
- Control call recording
- Control screen recording
- Apply and control blackouts
- Update call records
Control Call Recording
On-Demand can give you the ability to control (in other words, start or stop) call recording. This capability can be useful if you only need to record certain types of calls, or if you receive calls that should not be recorded, such as personal calls.
If your organization uses NICE Uptivity Screen Recording, synchronized audio and screen recording can be started and stopped using the NICE Uptivity On-Demand client.
Control Screen Recording
With NICE Uptivity On-Demand screen recording control, you can start or stop recording your screen activity independent of a call. You may want to record your screen during a customer interaction via chat, and you can do this with On-Demand screen recording control.
This feature is only available if your organization uses NICE Uptivity Screen Recording and the screen capture client is running on your workstation.
Apply and Control Blackouts
If sensitive data might be recorded, such as credit card numbers or protected health information, On-Demand enables you to start and stop applying blackouts to a recorded interaction.
Update Call Records
With On-Demand you can add information such as the caller’s name or the subject of the call, to update the database call record, such as caller name or subject of the call.
NICE Uptivity On-Demand is available in two types: server-based and web-based. With both, web-based and server-based On-Demand, you can:
- Control call recording
- Apply and control blackouts
- Update call records
However, screen recording control is only available with server-based On-Demand.
To determine whether you have On-Demand recording, and which type, contact your supervisor or NICE Uptivity administrator.
