Manage Recording Schedules

Schedules are collections of business rules that govern recordings in Uptivity. Recording schedules require you to set an archive action. Therefore, you should create archive actions before schedules. See Manage Archive Actions. For more information, see Recording Schedules Overview.

All of the following tasks are done from the Schedule Query Page.

Create Schedules

You can choose to create a custom schedule, a schedule based on a period of time, or a schedule based on number of calls.

Custom Schedules

To create a custom schedule:

  1. Click Create Schedule.
  2. Click Create a Custom Schedule (Advanced).
  3. Configure the schedule criteria and parameters.
  4. Click Save Schedule.

Time Period Schedules

To create a schedule based on a time period:

  1. In the NICE Uptivity Web Portal, click Administration Scheduling Create Schedule.
  2. Click Record All Calls For An Agent During A Time Range.
  3. Type a Name for the schedule.
  4. You can type a Description for the schedule.
  5. In the Agent Number field, enter the phone ID for the agent to be recorded.
  6. Use the date and time selectors to specify a Start Date and an End Date for the period during which Uptivity will record calls for this schedule.

    Do not use the Never Expire checkbox for this type of schedule.

  7. Click Save.

Number of Calls Schedules

To create a schedule based on number of calls:

  1. In the NICE Uptivity Web Portal, click Administration Scheduling Create Schedule.
  2. Click Record the Next N Calls for an Agent.
  3. Type a Name for the schedule.
  4. You can type a Description for the schedule.
  5. For Agent Number, type the phone ID for the agent to be recorded.
  6. Type the Number of Calls to be recorded.
  7. You can select Never Expire if the schedule should remain in effect until the specified number of calls is reached, regardless of how long it takes.
  8. You can use the date and time selectors to specify a Start Date and an End Date for the period during which Uptivity will attempt to record the specified number of calls.

    If you do not specify a date range, you must select the Never Expire checkbox or Uptivity will not record any calls under this schedule. If you do specify a date range, the schedule will be considered complete when the End Date is reached, even if the specified number of calls has not been recorded.

  9. Click Save.

Find Schedules

  1. Click Find Schedule.
  2. Move users from Schedule Owners to Schedule Owners Listed to narrow your search to schedules created by or assigned to specific users; move users from Schedule Owners Listed to Schedule Owners to exclude them from your search. To retrieve all schedules, skip this step.
  3. Click Search.
  4. You can click Edit (indicated by the pencil icon) or Delete (indicated by the red X).
  5. Double-click a schedule to view all of its criteria and parameters, or click one of the action icons for the schedule to edit, copy, or delete it.

Copy Schedules

  1. In the NICE Uptivity Web Portal, click Administration Scheduling Find Schedule.
  2. Move users from Schedule Owners to Schedule Owners Listed to narrow your search to schedules created by or assigned to specific users; move users from Schedule Owners Listed to Schedule Owners to exclude them from your search. To retrieve all schedules, skip this step.
  3. Click Search.
  4. Click Copy (indicated by the papers icon) for the schedule you want to copy. A new schedule window opens with the settings from the original schedule already configured.
  5. Revise the schedule's criteria and parameters as needed.
  6. Click Save Schedule.
