Server-Based NICE Uptivity On-Demand

The NICE Uptivity On-Demand client application is the primary user interface for agents to start or stop audio recording on demand, start or stop screen recording on demand, add information to recordings, or any combination of these. For more information, see NICE Uptivity On-Demand Overview.

If you use NICE Uptivity On-Demand from a web portal, this topic does not apply.

Check Status

Required Permissions — Allow Recording by Device ID, Allow Recording by Device Alias, Allow Desktop Recording, or Allow Call Updates

You can follow these steps to verify the account under which you are recording (for example, in the following image the NICE Uptivity On-Demand client is logged in as Administrator). Using the incorrect account can cause calls not to be recorded or recordings to be mislabeled .

  1. Right-click the NICE Uptivity On-Demand icon in the system tray.
  2. Click Status to display the Status Display window.
  3. Click Close when ready.

Record Audio

Required Permissions — Allow Recording by Device ID, Allow Recording by Device Alias, or both

  1. Right-click the NICE Uptivity On-Demand icon in the system tray.
  2. Click Start Audio Recording.
  3. From the pop-up, select whether to record By Extension or By Agent Number.
  4. Click Stop Audio Recording when ready.

Record Screens

Required Permissions — Allow Desktop Recording

This feature is not available if your organization does not use NICE Uptivity Screen Recording.

Follow these steps if you want record your screen but are not on a call (for example, to record a chat or email conversation). When you record the audio for a call using the steps above, your associated screen activity will record automatically.

  1. Right-click the NICE Uptivity On-Demand icon in the system tray.
  2. Click Start Desktop Recording.
  3. Click Stop Desktop Recording when ready.

Update Call Records

Required Permissions — Allow Call Updates plus permission to edit one or more of the user-defined fields

  1. Right-click the NICE Uptivity On-Demand icon in the system tray.
  2. Click Update Call Record.
  3. Enter information in one or more of the fields. You will only see fields you have permission to update.
  4. Click OK.
